History

William L. Garoutte founded PUI&E, Inc. in 1990.  His objective was to provide a full service inspection, consulting, and engineering service to the electric utility industry.  In 2001, Mr. Garoutte started NW Utility Services after recognizing that there was also a need for utility construction. 

Mission

The mission of NW Utility Services, LLC is to provide quality control, consulting and utility construction services that meet the highest standards in a professional, cost effective and responsive manner.  This has been accomplished by retaining the services of highly qualified personnel with many years of utility experience.

What We Do 

NW Utility Services, LLC is currently working on the following projects:

• Make Ready Work
• Automated Meter Reading Installation and Maintenance
• Quality Control and Storm Restoration. 
• Cell Site Construction and Maintenance for T-Mobile, Cingular, Verizon, and Sprint-Nextel, which are on Puget Sound Energy distribution and transmission poles and towers. 

NW Utility Services, LLC is currently involved in the following wind turbine generation projects:  

• Wild Horse Windfarm in Ellensburg, with Puget Sound Energy
• Biglow Windfarm in Wasco, OR with Portland General Electric
• We have completed work on the Hopkins Ridge Windfarm in Dayton, WA for Puget Sound Energy.

NW Utility Services, LLC is currently involved in the following Solar Farm: 

• Wild Horse Solar Farm in Ellensburg, WA with Puget Sound Energy. 

Previous power work completed by NW Utility Services, LLC includes:

• PSE Pole Stub Removal Project in Whatcom, Skagit and King Counties
• Snohomish County Bid Work,
• Numerous make ready projects
• Pole Climbing Inspection
• Transmission Line Inspection.

• White River School District Fiber Optic Installation
